Mission Statement of econsense members:

Sustainable development equally encompasses ecological, economic and socio-political issues. As part of our contribution to sustainable development built on commercial success, this means making available environmentally and socially compatible products and services, and to use and rigorously further develop sustainable management and business practices in our companies.

As members of econsense, we stand for the following business principles:

  • We pledge to treat all resources compatibly with the principles of sustainability, and to align our actions to the recognised national and international guidelines and treaties.
  • We are willing to use our skills in the interests of sustainable economics.
  • We intend to play an active and leading role in the political decision making process on sustainable development by elaborating concrete and innovative solution strategies.
  • Sustainable development in our interpretation includes transparency and open dialogue. We therefore make ourselves heard nationally and internationally as qualified and committed contacts open for dialogue with policy makers, scientists, stakeholders and business.
  • We promote the self-initiative and innovation power of business in the interests of
sustainable development. We wish to expand our sustainable development expertise, and assist and stand by other companies, private households and public institutions as active partners in charting the future course towards more sustainability.

In the spirit of these principles, and as members of econsense, we wish by way of suitable concepts and properly planned actions to enable current and future generations to enjoy fair opportunities for development and a worthwhile existence in a safe and secure future.
