Verband der Chemischen Industrie e.V. (VCI)

The German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) represents some 1,650 chemical companies in Germany. Many global challenges – like clean water, safe food or important medicines – can be solved only with innovations from chemistry. With its processes and products, its economic success and societal commitment the chemical industry makes major contributions to a sustainable development of our world. Together with the Mining, Chemical and Energy Industrial Union (IG BCE) and the German Federation of Chemical Employers’ Associations (BAVC) the VCI is an alliance partner in the sustainability initiative Chemie3. Responsible Care is a significant contribution to Chemie3: under the RC programme, chemical companies demonstrate responsible action in the fields of environment, safety and health.
