With its sustainability strategy adopted in 2010 and the founding of a Sustainability Council, Vodafone Germany has firmly anchored sustainable economizing in the company. The four areas of safety, politics and framework conditions, environmental protection and employees form the foundation of the strategy. Building on this, Vodafone Germany defined three profile-forming, strategic action fields of Access to Communication, Connected Living and Smart Energy — all fundamental components that are part of the core business of the company. They are thus a significant success factor for a sustainable development as well as the strategic competitiveness of the company.

Econsense

Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business e.V.

econsense is an association of leading, globally active companies and organisations of German business specializing in the area of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Founded in 2000 on the initiative of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the goal of econsense is to provide a dialogue platform and think tank, with the dual objectives of advancing sustainable development in business and assuming social responsibility.
