Accompanying CSR and Sustainability Strategies

Politics are greatly involved in the topics of CSR and sustainability. In Germany, for example, the federal government set up a CSR action plan, and a national sustainability strategy has already been in place since 2002. There is also a sustainability strategy at the European level, and the EU Commission is active in the topic of CSR. econsense is exploring current developments in this area both on the national and on the European level and is in contact with the relevant stakeholders.

Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business e.V.

econsense is an association of leading, globally active companies and organisations of German business specializing in the area of sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR). Founded in 2000 on the initiative of the Federation of German Industries (BDI), the goal of econsense is to provide a dialogue platform and think tank, with the dual objectives of advancing sustainable development in business and assuming social responsibility.
